“I’ve known about RISD since I was very young from growing up in Providence. I chose the RISD Pre-College program because I’ve always wanted to be a part of the community.
I would say all my classes were challenging, but creatively I would say my RISD Pre-College Illustration major class was the most challenging—my instructor Allison Cole definitely made the most impact on my work.
If I were to give some advice to someone thinking about taking a RISD class, I would say to manage your time wisely and to just have fun—it won’t last forever!
My creative process usually involves thinking about my pieces beforehand, like what materials I’ll use, and also trying to incorporate my own personal interests and hobbies.
The last thing I’ll say is that I absolutely LOVED the experience! The best part of RISD was definitely the people, so thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your family.”
