“My youngest daughter is a sophomore in college, which means that I now have time for myself. RISD CE offers certificate programs that fit my budget and schedule. I’m on the quest of becoming a better painter, but Applied Color was the first art class that I had taken since middle school. I had no idea what to expect and wasn’t sure that I could do it.
I’m amazed at the amount of personal attention that I’ve received from all of my teachers as I progress through the Painting Studies certificate program. I’m still working my creative process out; everything is a new concept and I’m enjoying trying new techniques. I let the painting guide me as I go along, always asking myself, ‘What if I try this?’ I’ve been able to apply each course to the next one and I have definitely seen a marked improvement to my art.
