From figure drawing to sculpture to computer animation, some teens attend RISD CE courses for fun and enrichment, while others have a more academic goal in mind. Courses can be taken on an individual basis, or as part of a focused curriculum in one of our teen certificate programs.
RISD also offers the new Advanced Program for High School Students – an intensive, collegiate-level program for students completing grades 9-12. This immersive online experience is designed for students who are interested in pursuing art and design in college.

For students interested in a future in art and design, with an emphasis on portfolio development.
RISD CE Teen Courses provide a strong grounding in the visual arts and encourages creative and personal growth through self-expression. Year-round courses provide opportunities for teens to be with their peers who are energetic, creative and passionate about what they’re doing.
Teens can enroll in one of four certificate programs to broaden their skills, explore a new medium, and prepare for a future in art and design. Certificate programs include: Art School Preparation, 2D Design, 3D Design and Digital Design.
