Bring the power of art and
design to your organization

RISD Continuing Education offers off-site programs that provide an opportunity to bring your team together for a shared experience. At RISD CE, every individual has the opportunity to engage with the tools of artists and designers—whether they consider themself “creative” or otherwise. We’ll help your organization feel renewed for the year ahead, infusing the spirit of creativity across your team.

Experience the creative capital

Rhode Island School of Design is located in the heart of Providence, conveniently located between New York and Boston. When your team participates in a program at RISD, they’ll experience the city’s vibrant arts scene, historic charm, renowned dining options, and more—both on and off campus.

Connect with the tranquility of nature

Tillinghast Place is RISD CE’s satellite campus in Barrington, RI, which provides a picturesque natural environment for artmaking and sweeping views of the Narragansett Bay. With 35 acres of land and access to a private beach, Tillinghast’s soothing landscape makes it the ideal place for escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Custom off-sites offer unique RISD experiences that allow your team to explore creative processes, build teamwork and collaboration, and spark innovative thinking.

The Art of Critique

Critique is a learning experience that can help everyone—the presenter, colleagues offering feedback, and the whole team—grow and improve. At RISD, we know that work gets better through collaboration with colleagues and honest, productive critique. Even a tough critique is a moment of opportunity. When we bring that spirit of critique inside our organizations, we can move the culture to rely less on politics and more on real, collaborative engagement in the work.
