Connect, Engage, Create with RISD CE Online This Fall
RISD CE Online is excited to announce 110+ online courses for adults and teens, which can be taken from anywhere in the world, at any time of day or night.
From courses like The Home Jewelry Studio, Painting from Nature and Walking as Creative Practice to Mobile App Design + Prototyping, Textiles 101 for Interiors and Graphic Design: Introduction, join us for accessible, flexible and immersive online learning experiences this fall.
We recommend registering as soon as possible, as almost every class reached enrollment capacity very quickly this summer. To give students enough time to plan and gather supplies, the last day to register for fall courses beginning September 19 is Wednesday, September 16 at 5 pm EDT. Join us online this summer to stay on track with a certificate program, explore a new subject, or take your very first course in art and design!
Adult Courses (ages 18+)
RISD CE Online offers accessible, flexible and immersive learning experiences that you can access anywhere. Join us online to stay on track with a certificate program, explore a new subject, or take your very first course in art and design. Courses are designed especially for people with busy schedules and active lives, and are taught by professional artists, designers and makers. We’re open admission—we welcome everyone! Courses run from Sept 21–Dec 14, 2020.
Teen Courses (ages 13–17)
From animation and moviemaking to fashion design and art school prep, some attend RISD CE Online Teen Courses for fun and enrichment, while others have a more academic goal in mind. These online courses provide a strong grounding in the visual arts and encourages creative and personal growth through self-expression. They can be taken on an individual basis, or as part of a focused curriculum in one of our teen certificate programs. Classes run from Sept 21–Dec 14, 2020.
Advanced Program for High School Students
The new RISD Advanced Program for High School Students offers high school students the opportunity to access intensive, collegiate-level classes as they work towards a college application portfolio. This fall, we are offering Experiential Drawing and Exploration in Design, for students completing grades 9–12, and offers an expressive curriculum informed by our rapidly changing world.
Most courses will be taught asynchronously through our online course management system CE Link, giving you the flexible and high-quality learning experience that you can access anytime, from anywhere. Please visit our Registration Help page for additional information and resources.
