Continuing Education

Year-round, RISD/CE's Young Artist Program provides a strong grounding in the visual arts and encourages creative and personal growth through self-expression. Each course creates a dynamic environment where students build self-confidence along with a foundation of creative and technical skills. In the summer, young artists can enjoy our one- or two-week day camps, or can choose from among dozens of individual courses in a wide variety of topics.

RISD/CE's engaging and educational classes for kids are offered on weekends during the school year — even during school vacation weeks and summer. Open-ended projects and lessons encourage confidence, and classes utilize RISD's unique facilities, including studio space, the RISD Museum, the RISD Nature Lab, and Tillinghast Farm in Barrington.

Children ages 6 to 12 are invited to join us for one-week full-day camps offered during school vacations in winter and spring, as well as one- and two-week full-day camps in the summer. Camps are held at RISD's Tillinghast Farm campus in Barrington, RI or on the RISD campus in Providence.
